,A few years ago, I tweeted about creating an "academic genre radical transparency project." I was probably working on an IRB (Institutional Review Board) protocol (basically, an application to do research that involves humans) or maybe drafting an email to a professional listserv or putting together a budget for an event.
At some point, I might do the math on how many words I actually write for my job, the vast majority of which aren't 'published' in any meaningful sense of the term and are read by fewer than a dozen people. That means so much of our professional writing is effectively invisible, unknown and unknowable right up until the moment you need to produce it.
I think there's value in making visible all the texts that circulate in the university activity system. This is a small, unsystematic collection of some such texts I've produced (and anonymized as needed). Some of these texts are truly solo-authored; many have others' contributions. Currently, this archive only includes texts for which I am the sole or primary author.
I'll keep adding to this archive as it occurs to me. Please make use of it as you will.
